The Regional Product Manager REELS (motorized cable and hose reels) is the regional commercial and technical expert for her/his product and/or offering. She/he promotes and drives the sales of the product/offering by ensuring the value proposition is clearly articulated to the customer while also helping Area Sales Managers advance opportunities, where needed.


Main tasks & key responsibilities

  • Develops a regional business strategy for the product or offering portfolio in collaboration with the Global VP Product Management and the Regional Sales Director
  • Acts as the technical and commercial reference for the portfolio in the region
  • Collaborates with Area Sales Managers to develop the project service sales opportunity pipeline
  • Enables the Area Sales Managers to advance and close opportunities by providing and defending the winning value proposition in front of the customer
  • Generates leads by promoting the product or offering portfolio at trade events, exhibitions, speaking slots, webinars, social media and customer sites
  • Transfers the leads to Area Sales Manager in charge of the account and follows up on progress of lead advancement activities
  • Acts as competitive intelligence expert for the portfolio to define the strategic pricing and positioning in the region
  • Prepares very preliminary budgetary offers which do not require involvement of Technical Sales Support
  • Supports Area Sales Managers for final negotiation, if necessary
  • Arranges training for the offering for sales team and agents in the region
  • Manage early prescription and specifications towards end users and local consultants
  • Anticipate trends and influence product development decisions accordingly

  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Value selling experience required
  • Previous experience promoting the sales of an engineered product portfolio is highly desired
  • Basic marketing skills
  • Bachelor’s degree – Engineering recommended
  • High energy, teamwork, and passion for driving sales
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English


Key performance indicators

  • Regional order intake for the product / offering portfolio
  • Product / offering opportunity pipeline health (e.g. size, conversion, duration of open-to-close)
  • Promotion event attendance
